Ferg's Place
- Hi there! Well this is the usual......first time ...under construction....and
all of that.....so I will not do the apology bit. I am originally Irish and
my family and I moved to Australia eleven years ago, we settled straight away
loved it from the word go. I am not going to go into a long spiel about our
travels as I have writen it into a journal and I hope to post that journal
in here. The program is really interesting it is called Keeboo and can be
down loaded for free from Keeboo.com...well worth a look.
- My intersets are many and varied as you will see from my interests section.
When I get around to it I will put in some links to some very cool sites where
I have gleaned some really relevant info following my interests.
I am Married to my best friend Carol (a good arrangement) and we have two children
although not for long as they are maturing so quickly. Dave is fifteen and is
a bit of a puter whizz and Niamh is a great storey teller. Carol on the other
hand is just about brilliant with anything she lays a hand to...maybe I will
be able to convince her to help me here.
- Good discussions
- ....There is nothing I like more than a good chat, disscussion or debate
on any sort of topic....do not get me going on religion though unless you
are prepared to go the distance
- Natural products
- .Both Carol and I have gotten interested in this through her interest in
Aromatheraphy and my Reflexology, between us we read an awful lot and pass
on the gleaned info so as a result most of our medicines and cosmetics,~ be
it ecinacea for flu tablets or shaving oil for commercial foam, to bath bombs
for radox and home made soap for commercia soapl~ are all home made. A weird
line of interest for a "big Hairy Miner" and his "shelia' I
hear you say....well 'different strokes'.
- Photography
- In the last year I have become really interested in this hobby. Carol bought
me a decent camera a while ago and I have gone mad taking pics. Love anything
interesting (although one never has the camera at hand for those shots), sunsets,
reflections and different perspectives. I have a gallery in one of the rooms
in the house and Hope to post one here....any comments would be appreciated.
I have located some interesting sites on the net and they will be listed in
the links below...when ever I get around to posting them. I converted one
room in to a darkroom for awhile and had great sucess in printing my own Black
and White pictures.

- I have done a lot of reading on this subject and have done a course in it,
carol would be my main patient as she loves the old 'foot rub' at this stage
her feet and I would be on first name terms. I intend ot follow this course
of study up and do some more courses as soon as I develop a more 'normal'
life style...I am a fly in/out miner in the Northern Territory...YES! where
Croc Dundee comes from....bet you he was not interested in Soaps Bath bombs
and reflexology.
- Alternative Medicine and Lifestyle
- So much to read and see and do...I will come back to this some other time.
- Travel and differnet cultures
- Love world travel, love seeing different cultures first hand. Have travelled
a bit and one of my most favourite places in the world is Bali, an Indonesian
island, the culture there is so colourful, the people so genuinely nice ,
they smile all the time, and as a result you leave the place with a silly
grin on your once scowling face, the great thing is that the grin does not
last as you get stressed out in the rest of the world so you have to back
for 'top-ups' regularly.
